Whether you are a Tarot reader or a psychic, or you take calls on the Adult Chat service, you all play a massively important role in your customers’ lives, especially around Christmas time.
Most Operators forget how their words can really help a person because our services (even adult included!) are all about helping people. Yes, you may be helping them on the phone only and not face-to-face; however, sometimes that is just what some people need.
Jo and I have been operating Live Chat services since 2000, and every year, we know that at Christmas and over the New Year festivities, we will receive a large number of calls from people who are depressed, anxious, and sad about not having the Christmas they thought they would experience.
Your Words of Kindness
As an Operator, your words of encouragement, kindness, compassion and goodwill really do impact these callers’ lives. Of course, you may receive the occasional ungrateful caller, but on the whole, almost all customers genuinely appreciate the fact that there is someone available over Christmas whom they can talk to.
Although we are not the Samaritans (and we are not professing to be), our Operators are still providing a service that will help many people over the coming festive period.
Not everyone is surrounded by a loving family, and sometimes, even if they are with family, their family may not be nice and considerate towards them. They may be feeling really down because they feel alone or because they have just broken up with the person they love.
They may feel let down by those closest to them. Whatever the reason for their unhappiness, your kind words can bring them some relief that may just enable them to wake up tomorrow with a brighter outlook on life.
Taking Calls Over the Christmas Period
Every year, we thank the Operators who work over the Christmas and New Year period. With your help and loyalty, we can provide a 24-hour service for callers who may not have had the best Christmas. We ask that you not judge these callers, but rather provide emotional support and kindness, which I am sure you will all do willingly.
