Supervisor Jobs - LiveLines UK

We are looking for a new Supervisor to join our team of Supervisors.

Our ideal team member will be reliable, have a pleasant telephone manner, and be able to use a computer or laptop efficiently.

We operate three very busy live services that require monitoring 24 hours a day, 365 days a year! This is where our reliable and trusted team of Supervisors comes into play, assisting us in providing excellent services that deliver amazing entertainment for our customers.

What Is Supervising?

Supervising is a very fast-paced job that requires a lot of attention. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for monitoring both services during your shift.

Supervising includes the following:

  • 1) Ensuring that there is enough operator cover on your shift (for both services).
  • 2) Obtaining operator cover prior to your shift starting (this can be done on the previous shift if required) and updating the Operator Rota.
  • 3) Ensuring that operators are not missing calls, hanging up on callers or experiencing any technical issues on their phone lines.
  • 4) Running reports on operators’ call stats to ensure that operators are running on the correct average.
  • 5) Ensuring that operators are on the correct priority for their calls.
  • 6) Answering the supervisor’s line (this will be transferred to your landline whilst you are on shift)
  • 7) Watching the SMS service to ensure that the texts are being answered promptly and correctly.
  • Watching the live Messenger service to ensure that the conversations are being answered promptly and correctly.

How Much Does Supervising Pay?

Supervising is paid every 2 weeks alongside your call revenues. For up-to-date rates, please email support@livelinesuk.com .

What Are the Supervising Requirements?

  • You will need a landline or mobile that offers free minutes to UK landlines, as you will be phoning a lot of operators to see if they can cover your shift(s).
  • You need to work from a reliable computer or laptop (no tablets, unfortunately!)
  • You need to have good computer skills.
  • You need to have demonstrated that you have done your log-on hours weekly.
  • You will need a reliable broadband connection.

The Shifts

Our shifts are broken down as follows:
6am-10am
10am-3pm
3pm-7pm
7pm-10pm
10pm-6am

We will discuss the available shifts with you.

Other Information

You will need to staff your shift before the shift starts. Some supervisors do this on their previous shift, but at times, you will need to call around before your shift starts.

Your Training

Before becoming a supervisor, you will need to receive training to understand how the services operate. Training is done over the phone. Initially, you will observe shifts with another supervisor to see what they do. Then you will work your own shift while being supervised by another supervisor. If everything is working well, you will then continue with the shifts on your own.

What Happens Next

If you are interested in Supervising, please email  jo@livelinesuk.com  with a short summary describing why you would be a good addition to our Supervising team.

Please note that this position is only open to Operators who take calls on our service(s). Supervising is completed from home, and this is not an employed position.

What Our Operators Say About Us

I am a single Mum, and working at LiveLines really does help me. I log on when my kids have gone to bed and work until I get tired. It provides me with extra money to do the things that I cannot afford with just my 9-to-5. Alana

I’m 64 and I’ve worked with LiveLines for 4 years. Payments are always on time, and they are busy. It works great for me because it fits around my life, and the Supervisors are really nice to work with. Dorothy

I’ve just started with LiveLines; their training was really easy, and I was set up quickly. Everything was efficient. I really enjoy helping people on the phone, and it’s great that I can decide to work extra hours if I need to cover a cost. Denise

I’m from Australia and I’ve been with LiveLines for 3 years. They are so busy, I was really shocked! I was used to receiving 2-3 calls an hour with my previous company. They pay me on time, and if I ever need help, there is always a human to speak to! Roxy

At the moment, I am in uni, and before working for LiveLines, I was strapped for cash. Their service allows me to log on when I want to and receive calls on my mobile, so I’m free to log on even if I go back home for the weekend. The office staff are nice and everything you request or ask is done. I’m glad I’ve found them. Gary
